MAIN STAGE

Hothouse Flowers - confirmed

For the Hothouse Flowers, it’s about the joy of playing, of making music with - as well as for - the people who come out to see them. It’s about music that is always in search of itself, measuring itself only against the level of honesty and passion with which it is played. It’s about heart to heart music, plain and simple. Chasing Faces - confirmed.
With recent appearances on Channel 4, having recently been asked to support The Magic Numbers, New Zealand favourites The Checks, NME darlings The Rascals and now with local radio stations backing them all the way, it begs the question how long before they are snapped up by the majors. No Crisis - confirmed.
Partly Chagford, partly London based band, predominantly playing a range of rock & pop covers from across the decades they also play a number of their own songs. These guys ‘re-formed’ after a gap of 20 years or so having played in school bands together...

The Fireblockers confirmed.

Melosaconfirmed.
Created as a four-piece, acoustic reggae/latino outfit Melosa quickly realised that to make people dance a rhythm section would be useful & grew into the seven-piece band that gigs today!

The Casitas confirmed.
The Casitas are a group of lads trying to do two things...make you dance and sing along!

ACCOUSTIC MARQUEE (between main stage acts)

Thea Gilmore - confirmed.
Thea Gilmore has been described as “the best wordsmith of her generation” (The Independent) and “the best British singer/songwriter of the last ten years - and then some” (Uncut), and this call-to-truth record (LieJacker) comes on the back of two very difficult years in her life.

Madrumconfirmed.
Madrum defies classification. Powerful heartfelt vocals interwoven with Indian harmonium, guitar, keyboards and intricate textural percussion combine to awaken a depth of listening that is rare to find in the performing arena.
“From elemental sound, raw rhythm and the naked voice, Madrum weave a new music…”-Jon Stein, musician and artist.

Bettina - confirmed.
Norwegian Flamenco Guitarist plus singer and dancer.
An exceptionally talented female Flamenco guitarist, who has managed to conquer the predominantly male chauvinistic world of this exciting and vibrant style of Spanish guitar.

Charlie Ansellconfirmed.
Alternative/Folk solo acoustic act.
Well I used to be in a Dirty Rock'n'Roll band called Templar but now I'm a folk singer.
Now please don't let that word put you off! I don't go around with my finger in my ear, singing endless verses about crop failure.
What I do is take old British folk songs and put them in a way which I feel relates better to Modern Britain, done in a musical style similar to Frank Turner and Billy Bragg (PunkFolk!)
